Acquisition
Corsair Group recently acquired a Waste Plastic to Fuel production facility in Bangkok, Thailand.
Development
It has been improving and developping towards international operating standards during Q3 / 2020.
Operation
The facility focuses on converting waste plastics, such as used plastic bags, wrapping materials and packaging products into low sulphur oil.
This oil is similar in character to crude oil and can be refined into Diesel, Gasoline and Kerosene or partially used for creating new plastic products.
Volumes
The facility has an existing production capacity of approx. 120 000 liters of fuel per month, which is being expanded to approx. 240 000 liters per month by the end of 2020, followed by additional expansions to increase the production to approx. 600 000 liters per month within 2021.
Expansion
The expansion process includes the refurbishment of an existing production facility of approx. 3 200 square meters and the construction of a brand new production area of approx. 3 200 square meters.
PARTNERSHIP
SLOVENIA
The project
Corsair Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with a Slovenian manufacturing company in the beginning of 2020. The objective of the parties is to form a partnership and to launch waste plastic to fuel operations in Slovenia.
Slovenia plays a strategic key role due to its geographical location in the region and its high quality of manufacturing and well educated personnel.
Development
The partnership aims to launch the Pilot Phase of its operations within Q1/2021 and to focus on converting waste plastics, such as used plastic bags, wrapping materials and packaging products into low sulphur oil. This oil is similar in character to crude oil and can be refined into Diesel, Gasoline and Kerosene or can be partially used asa raw material for creating new plastic products.
Operation
The operation will be utilizing the existing manufacturing facility, provided for the partnership by the Slovenian partner. This existing facility is to be further developed by installing up to 10 pyrolysis production units, each with approximate production output of 60 000 liters per month.
Expectations
The partnership is targeting to reach the full production capacity of approx. 600 000 liters per month within 2022.
