Corsair Capital was established on 18 January 2022, but the Group has been operational since 2020 with the objective to clean our planet from various types of pollution.
Corsair Group meets strict environmental standards through its International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) and is a pioneer in the chemical recycling of plastic waste, transforming daily household waste such as plastic bags, wrapping materials, packaging products into Pyrolysis oil, also known as Advanced Bio-oil.
With offices in Thailand and administrative headquarters in the Netherlands, the Group currently employs over 100 people and has built an entire ecosystem around waste management. The Group focuses on coordinating, developing, and financing environmentally friendly and ecologically important businesses and projects.
Turning Plastic Waste into Oil
Corsair Group’s core mission is to tackle the Global Plastic Waste Crisis by collecting discarded plastic from diverse sources, such as landfills, oceans, and urban environments. In collaboration with organizations, businesses, and individuals, the group collects plastic waste and then processes the collected plastic through a technology called Pyrolysis. This process is very efficient and adheres strictly to EU environmental regulations.
Plastic Pyrolysis is a process where plastic waste is heated in the absence of oxygen. This allows Corsair to convert the plastic waste back into its original form – oil, in this case referred to as Pyrolysis oil.
This recovered Pyrolysis oil can be used by petrochemical companies to create more sustainable, circular plastic products. The potential of this recovered oil is immense, offering a powerful solution in the fight against plastic waste.
