In 2021, Corsair introduced the CSR Plastic Credit, enabling both businesses and individuals to achieve plastic neutrality and reach net-zero plastic impact.

Plastic neutrality is achieved by offsetting your plastic footprint through funding the removal and recycling of an equivalent amount of plastic waste from the environment.

HOW IT WORKS

CSR Plastic Credits are generated during the recycling process. For every kilogram of recycled plastic, 10 CSR tokens are issued.

CSR is a unique plastic credit backed by secure blockchain technology, providing full traceability and proof that plastic waste has been removed and recycled.

Every CSR token and transaction is publicly recorded and verifiable. Data on the blockchain is immutable, meaning it cannot be changed or deleted. This prevents tampering, double-counting, or manipulation of credits.

To ensure transparency and credibility, CSR Plastic Credits are audited by an independent third party using the CPRS standard, one of the most trusted frameworks in plastic credit certification. (This includes audits by Control Union, a globally recognized leader in compliance and sustainability verification.)

The Corsair Plastic Waste Removal Standard (CPRS) is a third-party verification system developed by Control Union for Corsair to ensure transparency, traceability, and credibility in plastic recycling.

It tracks recycled plastic materials throughout the entire supply chain—from collection and processing to final product claims—verifying that the materials are genuinely recycled, properly documented, and not double-counted.

The standard helps ensure sustainable and responsible recycling practices while providing assurance to consumers and stakeholders.
